After nearly two years of having successfully packed-out Quiz Nights, Mark and Mel have decided to explore other ways we can give back to the community. Quiz nights finished in August and have been replaced with other community initiatives such as:
Fiddler on the Roof Aquinas College Production – Sponsor July 2019
Who doesn’t love pizza? The Aquinas College Production crew were fed Pizza from Good Local during their recent production. Great work team – we were happy to help out and heard you all worked very hard!
Karma Keg for Kenya – August 2019
Eight local kiwis are heading to Kenya in September this year to work with a school for poverty stricken children in Mahanga village. The school is in dire need of new structures as the original, temporary buildings are falling down and these good guys are giving up their time to help. Good Local donated a ‘Karma Keg’ where Local’s could pay what they wanted for a pint of beer on the night. An amazing $1,124 was raised all of which was donated to Ark Quest education to provide hope for Kenya.
Pyes Pa School PTA Quiz Night – August 2019
We all know Mark is a great QuizMaster, so when he was approached by Pyes Pa School to run their recent PTA Quiz Night Fundraiser, how could we say no!? What a great night it was full of laughs, dancing, beer, cheeky questions and of course, some Good Local spot prizes!
